Hekker started 38 years ago in Sassenheim, Netherlands and grew from only manufacturing custom made furniture to a full-concept project management, engineering and assembly company with very high standards towards the quality of the final end product. Originally, we only used wood and wood derivatives as our base product, but over the years we have developed expertise in various areas such as steel, natural stone, composite, flooring service, minor construction work, tiles and paint which we use in close cooperation with a number of third parties who are able to perform these tasks for us. We strive to be a full-service company for our clients. Simply: clients rely on us.
We are very familiar with tight time schedules and deadlines as well as the pressure cooker environment of planning. That’s why we have been, and continue to be, among other things, a building partner of Schiphol Airport since 1995. We deliver custom made interior projects for Schiphol in the hospitality sector as well as public areas, washroom groups, for areas both before and after travellers clear customs. These types of operations tend to be highly complex, because of strict airport and government regulations, but after 25 years of experience at Schiphol Airport we know the process from A- to Z.
